What a beautiful blog Howard, it is the essence of healing and recovery in my view. Somehow in ways I don't understand prayer facilitates this greater awareness and appreciation for the more simple and subtle aspects of life. Also it seems to bring a greater measure of compassion and loving kindness, this experience is tantamount to healing.
ReplyDeleteYou are a great person Howard, you posses a something that is rare these days. I think you will be a great benefit to those wanting to recover from PD and any sort of chronic illness.
I feel fortunate to have been afforded an opportunity to know you, I hope to continue following your journey. Always I wish you God's Peace Howard. Bobby

YES!! Great post, Howard. Your message is so beautiful and inspiring. Really wonderful. I am deeply grateful for your sharing your personal path to recovery. The adrenaline/dopamine relationship is fascinating, and I love your conversation/prayer/meditation
ReplyDeletewith the "dynamic duo"! Your example is such a gift.

call it prayer or what else. I as well made the experience that positive/gratful thoughts give me a better condition than 'fearbased thinking'. (This expression is to find with very good explinations in J.Hadlock, www.pdrecovery:
ReplyDeleteChapter 17: energetic blockage in the Mind, A not uncommon complication - 18. Chapter: FEAR,Introduction; 19. Chapter: Negative thinking)
Your experience, howard is so special!! It keeps me on my path and helps 100 times a day to switch on my powerful thoughts- and /off my sorrows. -(without blaming me for my fears and sorrows!! -they come and I let them go,.-- again and again.
